check this. nice product at a great price. unfortunately they dont have a unit for older models, only the current Forester:

its a double din so in theory it should work fine with most foresters!

my thoughts exactly, but I spoke to the guy from stopshop and asked me to take the measurements of my OEM unit and send it to him. he confirmed that it wont fit, without some modifacation to either the console or their unit. that sucks, coz it's a great price for what you get

there is a kenwood unit (doube din) that fits.


Just take it to your local car audio shop, they should be able to tell you.

Just keep in mind if you have remote controls on the steering wheel, you may need some kind of adapter to use them.

Anyone know if there is a way to add a line in onto the unit that comes with the SG9?  I would love to be able to link it to an MP3 player.  Then again the radio doesn't even have RDS...

Chingha, there is a write up on subaruforester.org about adding an Aux-In port n the radio.
I think it works for the SG5/9

Stock unit is the let down in the system. 370k car and no RDS. Wow! I Looked at a Merc 2011 C300  yesterday and that thing had everything.  R389k
