I've actually come to this thread in a very roundabout way, i.e. Subaru Parts For Sale, a Facebook group...! :o

Can anyone tell me where to find the two gurus, namely Chett Meyer and /or Wayne Haye? I'm very stupid with the tuning thing and don't need bigger turbo, etc, etc... I just need a GOOD tune and maybe a de-cat, to make my car "better"! Does anyone know what it would cost, approximately and so forth? I'll be in Joburg late this year, maybe only early next year, so will look them up then...

Hi Wynandd

Did you get pm?

Cool no problem Blue Wasabi, took a while but glad you happy.

Guys with manual Xt's (sorry SniperHilton lol) if you are keen for Lc and FFS let me know as its available for R500, I can pre prep your map (If I tuned/have your rom) and you can just pop past and I will install.

Cheers.

Dont think I mentioned it on the forum as yet but my Fozzie got serviced by Wayne Hay performance and it was great to deal with him and it was a job well done, the Fozzie also got Chet Tuned or as SWAMBO called it (Chett Foose'd) hahaha.

I have to give a heads up to Chett for a job well done too, and for the effort he puts in as he checked and fixed some stuff while out on the get together to break the attendance record.

Thanx Wayne & Chett

A VERY VERY big thank you to Wayne Hay Performance and Chett for the VF43 turbo conversion and tuning! They did a fantastic job and the service was top drawer!!! My Fozzie pulls extremely strong and I am ecstatic with the dramatically improved drive ability of my Fozzie.

Good Day Gentleman,
Trust you are well.
Kindly assist with a Forester problem.
I recently change the water tanks on my radiator to Aluminium tanks.
Since last Thursday 28/02 my water bottle has been bubbling.
What could be the problem? & is it quick to sort out?
A friend suggested i use Rislone Gasket Fix. Could this help?

Your urgent response wold be greatly appreciated.
Thanx, Rgds, Junaid

Hi Junaid.
Forget about a quick fix.
Have a thorough pressure test done and repair the problem.

Hi JBH
Thanx for the heads up.
How much would a repair normally cost for this kind of problem?

Sounds like you need to burp it. Itís a bit of a process.
I would also take it to Silverton for a HG test.
If it fails call me and we can quote on the repair.
I doubt it is gone though.

Hi, how long ago did you change the radiator? Also how big are the bubbles?

Sounds like just some residual air in the system.

What works to bleed the system is to put a water funnel on the second inlet
The one just above the Turbo

Then you keep that thing filled with coolant while the engine runs

I picked up that this is what WHP's guys do to fill up the coolant and allow the system to bleed
2007 2.5XT Manual (and boy did I have to search for manual one)

That is exactly how I do it. Works well.
