Very nicely done, but could you not save the cupholder?

A nice (shit expensive) Vida coffee goes down well in these cold days.
But between changing gears (MT), and texting ( ;) joke), one  needs to put that hot coffee cup somewhere.

So just when I thought the water/meths injection was the final mod, this came along:

AVO 400S with Garrett dual ball bearing CHRA. The plan is not to make more power but rather to make more usable power and less lag.

Looks like it needs a different down pipe? Divorced wastegate one maybe?

Yep, that or an open bellmouth. Stock won't work.

Quick update:
-340LPH Quantum fuel pump fitted

The pump was a straight fit, I just had to shorten the rubber hose because the pump is quite a bit longer than stock

-76mm bellmouth downpipe fitted

-Billet wastegate actuator & springs ordered

The AVO 400 comes fitted with a 1 bar actuator spring which can't be replaced, meaning you'd never be able to run less than 1 bar. Not suitable for me at all since this upgrade is more above driveabilty than outright power, so I'll be fitting a 0.5 bar spring for low boost and high boost will be around 1 bar.

I'm holding thumbs the actuator will be a straight fit, there was a big language barrier dealing with the guys at Kinugawa but they've been very helpful and sent an actuator according to my spec.

So then I guess after all of that the next step is to actually fit the new turbo and see how it goes. I'll discuss with Chett but fueling, etc should already be good to go.

So strange that a company like Kinugawa does not have an English rep.

Yep, I eventually found a UK email address but the guy on the other end also seemed to be Chinese(Sachiko Lu).

Shipping was extremely quick though - it was shipped out within a day and arrived at customs 4 days later.

It's also worth considering getting a smaller turbine wheel if you're after "usable" power. Though if you can get a whole turbo secondhand, you probably wouldn't save much on just the turbine replacement.

I've already bought the turbo.

Not a massive difference to be honest, it might be my imagination and I know I should have done before & after logs but it feels like the turbo is maybe spooling 200rpm sooner.
