Before:


After:


Got gear boot from a manual SG, removed the plastic ring at the end and cut the slits a bit more to allow the auto knob to push through:


then used a cable tie to keep it in place:


Fitted the thing still reversed:


and voila...

The manual boot's base was a lot bigger than the sportshift's opening but it fitted anyway.

Oh yes sorry no was for SG. They've got tons of Foresters though.
