The branch of 4wd Truckn company is below my office. I get to see lots of vehicles being souped up. That Mercedes Gelandewagen on the cover of last month's Wegry. I left the office and each time there was another bulge added to it. It can get a bit depressing sometime seeing guys buy a R800k vehicle then drop another 150k on it. No shortage of customers either.

This morning however I saw the attached XV. You have to admit jerry cans on a Sooby roof is not common at all. So what is the story behind this then? Can the XV do the Luderitz to Walvis Bay?[emoji1]

I'm pretty sure it can - mechanically pretty similar to the Foz, maybe a little lower. Would be better with smaller rim / larger tyre combo (pref a bit oversized tyres for a bit of lift).
And due to the small boot, your girlfriend can only take the minutest of overnight bags - meaning she's gonna be wearing little more than a bikini most of the way.
Bonus points for the XV there  8)
Current: S-edition 2011 Steel Silver (S-exy young thing) - Forged, Chett tjooned, 76mm s/s wrapped DP, King Springs, 225/60/17 G012s, Sump & AT guards, cheap mud flaps, HID fogs, LED parks.
Ex:        2.5X man 2010 Pearl White (Dirty Girl) - LSS lift, 235/60/16 G012s, Sump guard, HIDs and more..

I cannot see why it cannot do exactly the same as a Forester!
Ground clearance is about the same and the XV has a better breakover angle.

True that.

I just wish someone will tell the majority of these over compensating pimp-my- white-doublecab with a bullbar making it look like a victim that had his chin shot away customers.
