Did a little trip to Sedgefield over the weekend.

Great fricken car.







One thing that had me worried, was the 45 profile tires.

Overall consumption 7.6l/100 at average speeds between 150-190kph. My radar detector works well. LOL

That a very impressive consumption! Must day that the new Volvos are very pretty cars in my opinion. Very tempted to upgrade the wife to a newer one in a few years time. Will have to be a top of the range model, she currently has a T4 S40 and likes to go quickly :)

Not a bad looker, but will most likely lose value faster than anything else!

Off topic - I have never liked when manufacturers use the term Cross in a car name - Just sounds to me like the car is very upset about something! - like it does not really want to go off-road, but is now forced to.

Once a Volvo man always one. I think the real old perception Is gone. The v40 is brilliant and way better than anything else in the segment.

Well, it was fine. Its a front wheel drive and rides on 225/45/18s, so I was very careful at speeds over 100kph. Its really a great vehicle.

A colleague of mine in Nam has the AWD one with a few extra horses ex factory.  He gave me a lift between Okahandja and Windhoek.
Pulls really strongly and sticks to the road like stinkypoo to your favourite tekkies.
Build quality is obvious, interior really nice.
I was well impressed.
Current: S-edition 2011 Steel Silver (S-exy young thing) - Forged, Chett tjooned, 76mm s/s wrapped DP, King Springs, 225/60/17 G012s, Sump & AT guards, cheap mud flaps, HID fogs, LED parks.
