Are you sure about the fronts? I know the WRX 4 pots are bolt on but I'm sure I've read the Brembos needs adapters?

Rear, same story - you need bigger, vented disks(5x100) and adapters.

Looks like you're right, 04 Brembos should work with stock size disks:
http://www.subyclub.com/topic/551-the-sti-brembo-brake-faq-including-will-sti-brembos-fit-on-x/

I haven't read the whole thread but I think later models used 340mm front disks and 5x114 hubs.

Powerbrake sells the 326 mm front Sti disks with dual pcd, 100 and 114.3.
The plan is to do the front first, will see about the rears later. Also looking at an Sti master cylinder and booster.

That would be perfect.

I've had the STi master cylinder(same as some WRX) and booster laying around for ages, just been too lazy to fit them.

Sav, do you really need to change the master and booster? Does the pedal travel alot more? Is the Sti  booster alot bigger?
I know the master cylinder is bigger by 1/16".

It does quite a bit, it's not an issue but pedal feel is a bit bad.

I'll take some comparison shots when the stock booster is out but the STi one does look quite a bit bigger.
