Well this morning I thought I will see if I can take on the newer hot hatches and went looking for trouble with an ST (New one). He was approaching from the rear and I accelerated away to try and taunt him a bit, and it worked as he then came charging, we stopped at the robots and I had to move in behind him, as I had traffic ahead of me. Pulling away at the lights I had to try and get on boost and on pull off I had to lay off just a bit so not to rear end him and from there it went down hill all the way as he also dragged me from the next set of lights. I had to give him the flash of surrender and turn off to go back to where I was supposed to be. I was hoping to post in kills for the first time but ended up starting a new thread in race tales.

This sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!

That ST has about 185 KW.
It ain't slow.

AND, nowadays, one nevers knows if it has been tuned or not.

Then we can go into detail of how it's a road car and lower to the ground and bla bla bla.

As long as you enjoyed it.
I'm on an adrenalin high after a quick race.
Even better when someone under estimates the Foz.
The question usually asked is what you have done to the car.
The face says it all when you say it is standard........well mine is for now.

Well as Mafred says, the new ones come out with 185 kw. Not too shabby.
And if it went to Steves autoclinic, then it can push quite a bit more.

If you had a proper launch and were able to FFS you may have had a better time of it off the line.
I love my Launch control.

I get that same adrenalin rush and shake like a leaf afterwards.

My problem is that I have been tuned now ggrrrrrrrrrrr and and the main reason for that was so that I can smoke hot hatches.

I must add that I do have an auto hehehe

Two things:

1. Because you let off, you went off boost, costing you lots.
2. Someone mentioned Steves Auto Clinic. While their workmanship is great, I don't like them because they overcharge and like to do things you didn't ask for like putting your car on the dyno when you just sent it for a service.

I've been to ST dyno days. 5% of all ST's are std. Dont feel bad, they can make insane power with a simple tune and downpipe.

When I let of just a little at the first lights my car hardly used second gear and changed up to third, second light I used sport shift and did not even get a proper launch and got over eager on the RPM's before upshifting.

I am not done and will not stop trying, cause I am the one with the mommy wagon in automatic and loose less than the hot hatch when I loose  ;D
