Fetch my bike over the weekend I drove through Malmesbury. Stopped at the robot, with my wife and mother in the car. A white Tazz with a funny sounding engine (throttle boddies) starts to rev rev at the robot. It goes green and as he accelerates to about 4k rpm im holding in 1st just waiting for him to take the bait. So he does.

End of second gear I was 3rd I was 3 cars ahead. He did not seem too chuffed to have been beaten by a mommy wagon with all terrain tires. Next robot we go again and he lauches a lot harder. Wheelspin wheelspin wheelspin. Same result. LOL -

Had a brekkie run with SFC over the weekend and on my way down Franshoek pass I caught up to a windgat 135i driver that though he had the fastest car in the world. Driving through Franschoek I decided to torment him with a lot of dumping behind him... As we went out of town, traffic started to clear up and just as I indicated to over take him, I was about at his taillights, he boots it. Now I am in the oncoming lane and I slowly start edging on him. At about 190kph I was 2 cars in front of him.

The run was good, however the way he initiated it wasn't cool. I've never had a run with a 135i before, but they aren't that slow.

210km, 32l fuel. What a Jol.

With the 135i you where in your Fozzie? If so, then the guy didn't know what he was doing. A de-cat, tuned Fozzie won't run with a properly driven standard 135i (225kw/400nm if I have it correct).

I don't know what tune state your Fozzie is in, so  I'm just giving opinion here.

For sure! There was a previous post here where an X6 was given carrots by a Fozzie, so I think logic dictates that most BMW drivers don't know wtf they are doing. As can be seen on most afternoons on the Ben Schoeman in peak traffic  ;D  :o

I think Steve was in his STi - dumping behind him in Franschoek says STi.

poor form of the beemer, they he wanted to play, but that is probably beemer mentality......

I was in the STI. No way a stock or even retuned forester will run with a 135i. They have a lot of power up top.

The way he came over Franschhoek pass, I think he knew how to handle his car.

I disagree :P
Just make it a nice dirt road that isn't 100% perfect and the standard XT will run rings around that 135i :D

You must just choose the location :)

My exploits with a 135i was that i had him in first and second and he creamed me in third. Those things put a lot of power down in third.

Once again I disagree Steve :P
SA has so many places that even a 135i driver can't avoid dirt roads completely

And hey if he wont race on dirt road then he technically lost anyway :P

HEHEHE ok I know I am rolling this one out of proportion but come on we have to stand up for all the Foresters on here :)
