So, it seems I'm not the only person who moved to an Outback as my 5th Scoob. It wasnt intentional though. I've never driven a 3rd gen Outback, but I've spent some decent time in the latest 5th gen to know that it is a much better vehicle (IMO) than the SJ Forester.

And on that note, when I sold my XT to Divan - a facelift 3rd gen appeared.... Magically.

It was a little difficult committing to a deal over the phone... I flew up, checked it out, checked for fault codes and decided to hand the money over. Cosmetically the car wasnt as good as I'd liked but, the interior was pretty good.

Jy reg. Ek is nie so mal oor die wiele nie. Met die groter bande lyk die wiele kleiner.

Ek sal seker dieselfde kleur gaan as die foz... of dalk goud?

I really like the lines of the car. It appears to be low but it really has a fairly decent ground clearance.

It's also has a lot less drag and with result I've seen figures of around 8.5l 100km.

I've driven both the 3.6 Legacy and 3.6 Outback. The power delivery is near identical, but the 3.6 with the CVT it sort of spoils it. The 3.6 is bigger and I would imagine heavier.  Not much between them (180kw vs 191)

The 3.0 H6 is an awsome engine.
I was asked to do HG on it a while back.
The OB had 300kkm on the clock. Have not worked on a H6 before, so didn`t know what to expect.
Got a workshop manual and tackle it.
The Timing chain and sprockets where like new after 300kkm.
Sleeves where absolutely perfect, no sign of wear.
If you don`t drive it without water or oil it will go forever.
