When you're out in the sticks and your Foz has been lying with it's belly in the sand for 2 days the old Cruiser that tows you out is going to be the most beautiful thing you've ever seen ;D

Subaru's aren't useless offroad like other cars in their various classes. The Subaru AWD system is pretty good in the soft stuff actually.

If you read his thread, you will see he owned a lifted JK with 35's and well that the ride "sucked".

All I'm saying is don't go and play in certain areas of Botswana like around the Maghwikwe ridge (Sand ridge rd to Savuti) You will get stuck due to not enough clearance. Doesn't matter how good your traction is.

I have not been in Botswana, but have been sailing my XT with standard clearance( 200mm) with a trailer and 5 people on board like a snake in the dunes
at Banga nek Had to remove the middle muffler after that, it shaved a hole in the middle.
The traction is unbelievable even with limited clearance.Still got to lift my XT before the next trip.
