There is a hd spring solution from a company in pmb.  Pm and I'll get deets.

I also have to replace my rear SLS on my 2008 XS Forester SG. (150 500km)
Greg from Subaru PMB very helpful - advised to fit KYB struts with springs from
MIDLANDS SPRINGS - 190 Greyling St, Pietermaritzburg, 3201
Phone: 033 342 5030
Price I have been quoted for the springs is R800/side plus R400/side to fit.
They advised I get the struts 1st so they can be fitted with the springs one time.
still searching for struts locally......

Call Midas

They can supply you with Kyb excel g's struts.

I'm picking up my outback set in the week.

I've just ordered a set of rear springs from Midlands Springs.

They are supposedly stiffer and slightly longer than stock.

Will test and hopefully they work well.

First set was not to spec, too low and too soft. After I complained they sent me a second set which is perfect. Rear sits about 5 to 10 mm taller than front now, and seems to respond better to loading. Daily drive is perfect.

So if you do go that route, you might want to quote my name and order to get it right.

Hi LSS,
Please send me your springs order details, i want to order me a set.

Midlands Springs    sales2@midlandssprings.co.za

I dealt with Snu Dangisa.

My invoice number was 1171, rear springs for 2007 Forester. Pieter van Deventer, from JHB.

I suggest you explain to them what happened with me, and that you want the springs the same as the second set they sent me.   I.e. slightly longer and stiffer.

I do not know whether they have updated their spec or are still selling them like the first set I got.
