How do you get a smoother changing (MT)gearbox ?

Just did an oil change on the box this weekend, as it was time and the shifiting was really sticky.

Is it wise to add additives?
I had Ceratec in the box, but I can't really confirm that it did help.
Don't really want to waste money on additives that don't help.

Offcourse, the box has 350k km on it.

I've added Redline Lightweight Shockproof in the past. It made a big difference to smooth out the gear changes. Maybe worth a try?

I filled with LM GL4+ (75W90) in the box and Hypoid GL5 in the diff.

Have heard(read actually) quite a bit about this redline stuff.
Is it an additive? So I will have to remove some of my oil, I suppose.

"Next time" is hopefully only in 2 years or so. (should be done every 50k km)
