They're changing the name to Subaru corporation.

It makes sense since Subaru is by far its biggest  business. Fuji Heavy Industries was just the grouping of all the smaller companies making spares for Subaru back when they started. Since there were plenty of other stuff they made as well. But gradually more and more stuff was made for Subarus.

It is probably a good move. But I will miss the old name on the plate.

What a lot of people do not realise is that Subaru/Robin industrial engines, are rated as some of the best quality and are probably the top selling units into the construction trade, for pumps, power packs, hydraulic units, etc, etc, etc... Also Subaru EJ type engines are slightly modified and used in helicopters made in the Middle Eastern GCC countries. I regularly see these choppers in service here, with the distinctive, un-catted Scooby sound quite distinguishable through the blade noise...
