Hi all

I bought my 2nd hand Fozzie about a month ago. When we got it, the clutch felt weird, from the full release arc it only engaged on the bottom 1/3 and the hill descent assist warning light came on sporadically because of this. I took it back to Honda Rivonia where I bought it, they took it to whomever they use and sorted it out. After that the clutch engaged much better, 3/4 of the full arc and I could feel a difference in the acceleration power.

A week or so ago the clutch started going back to its 1/3 engagement and gets stuck (does not rise further upwards) than the 1/3 unless pushed up. The warning light has not come on again though. It almost feels like the clutch is set up incorrectly and the cable does not move the way it should.

Does anybody have an opinion, experience or advice on this?  ???

Hello Pietskiet.
You clutch system is hydraulic, I don't think they would have changed back to cable.
Check:
Hydraulic fluid
Spring on clutch pedal
Shaft on clutch pedal (maybe it is jamming)
Any foreign matter (carpet, sound proofing,....) in the pedal area?
If none of the above, it could be pressure plate??  :( :(
The dealer should take care of this. Find out what they did first time?

Hydraulic fluid
Spring on clutch pedal
Shaft on clutch pedal (maybe it is jamming)

It's going back to the dealership and I'll make sure their guy checks and confirms all of these.

Except for the carpet area... I can check that myself[emoji3]

The girlfriend commutes with the Fozzie (I have a company car) so I only noticed it this morning when I took in, it really struggles to get to into gear when cold, as if the clutch does not work or does not allign properly to allow it into gear... does this mean anything or is it normal?

Certainly not normal.
Maybe the wrong oil, or synchromesh problem, or clutch not disengaging properly. (No specific order)

Probably clutch (or clutch fluid) should be checked first.

See pic, copied from SG manual. I would assume it will apply to other models as well.

It was a high pressure hydraulic pipe that was leaking fluids. The dealership fixed it and I'm picking   the car up tomorrow morning :-)

Thanks berndp for all the advise, I think it helped their mechanic a lot to find the problem!
