Hi all Fozzie Fans

My car:
2012 XS 2.5
117 000km

When accelerating (i.o.w. not idling, freeing or just revving) I hear a light 'toc toc toc' sound emanating from the front left of the car and speeding up or down with the revs of the car. I called Subaru Centurion to ask if it is something they recognize and if I should bring it in, they weren't too concerned.

I also asked a few mates, and from what I read on the forum so far it also does not sound critical. I have a list of suggested things it could be tough
- wrong oil (I have no idea what oil it has or what the correct oil should be nor do I know what oil filled part would cause that noise)
- hydraulic lifter (not sure exactly what it does or which part of the engine it forms part of)
- small hole in the exhaust manifold (apparently very unlikely)

Any experience or suggestions?

Thanks!

Is the car in gear and the sound is faster/ slower as your speed change? And if you change gears but keep the speedo the same?

Kyk na:
Wiel-moere, driveshaft moer, CV's.
