I get roughly 9km/lt(with some luck), unladen, city and highway mix.

Not happy at all.
I used to get better.

8.4 l /100 km according to on board gauge. That is about 12 km / l.
On a 5 000 km trip to Namibia I averaged 8.6 l / 100 km.
Worst case is 9.8 l / 100 km.

I have a 2009 2.5 XS, since installing my AT tyres and roof rack my fuel economy has obviously suffered. I average around 13l/100km.  :P

My last tank was 19l/100km. I normally get between 16-19l/100km in town without as much hooning as you'd think.

Best cons to date was Harrismith to Centurion when I got 9.9l/100km with the cruise control on 120 true speed, car fully loaded. No idea how though, around 12l/100km seems to be the norm on the open road for me.

It's really horrible.

EDIT:
Turbo motor though. If I had a n/a foz and it was that heavy on fuel I'd get rid of the damn thing, there must at least be some kind of reward for all the fuel stops.

My old man's 2.5 XScel gets 10L/100 as a rule of thumb for town driving.

My XT used to get 10l/100 as a rule of thumb mixed driving

Now after new exhaust and tune...im still waiting for next fill up to calculate those figures  :-[
