A quick pit stop at Afriski and onwards.

We reached the flatlands of Lesotho and apart from some roadworks, goats, children, trucks, old cars and a couple of ladies flashing and screaming at us, we traveled on unhindered to the border post at Caledonspoort. The last part to Clarens flew by as we could drive at a decent speed with no ‘Lesotho obstacles’ in our way.

This time it was our traveling partners turn to find a gem in Clarens, an awesome place! Pricy but worth it! We spent the weekend lounging about in the Clarens brewery whilst the girls shopped for ‘kaggelkakkies’.

On the Sunday we started the trek home, decided to have one last fling with the holiday adventure by stopping for lunch at Val Hotel, a very charming place, and claimed to be the smallest town in South Africa.

Our holiday adventure glow soon chocked in the big smoke of Gauteng, so we started planning our next Fozz adventure, the sand roads of Ponta Mozambique…

Nou onthou ek waarvandaan ek jou ken!

GREAT report, we're living it with you, thanks for sharing!
Funny, I also have (an even more) compromising photo of my wife at a roadside stop in Lesotho ;D
We did that route in reverse, in 2011 before it was tarred.  Tar started only at Oxbow Lodge towards Fouriesburg.  That Sani to Oxbow section took us a whole day, max speed off tar was around 30.  It was rough and our 1st real trip in the Foz.
I posted a report but all the pics got deleted.
