Hi all - new member but been a happy Fozz owner almost a year now (2014 2.5x CVT). The time has come to change my stock tyres (225/60R17). Do a lot of dirt roads and plenty of bush trips. My tyres have taken a hammering. Looking for an A/T tyre which is virtually impossible in the stock size.

Thinking of going up to a 225/65R17 (probably G015)... I would appreciate any advice - do they fit without any mods and will they mess up the onboard electronics or anything??

Thank you :)

225/65R17 should fit

Should not affect onboard system other than slight change in speed vs indicated
As is required with all Subaru tyre changes makes sure you change all 4 at same time

If you do not swap spare then you would need to do 80 or slower when you are using spare to ensure no damage to gearbox

On my SG9 XT (2007) Stock is 215/55R17
I have used 225/55R17
And am now using 215/60R17 without issues

on yours the slightly bigger sidewall should not cause issues
2007 2.5XT Manual (and boy did I have to search for manual one)

Hi and welcome,

225/65/17 will work on the vehicle, but it just just does not fit into the spare wheel well unfortunately. It will fit if deflated, but that means carrying a small compressor the whole time.
