Souses Vlei, Namibia.  There's a long que of 4x4 and nothing moving in the deep sand track. Solution.... climb the VERY loose metre high bank and drive in the powder. Apart from all the shouts to not be mad and warnings of getting stuck (like the Fortuner that tried to follow us!) we cruised along and stopped at the cause of the delay.

A 110 Landy had broken a side shaft in the sand and TWO Land cruisers were dug in trying to tow the landie out. 

Landcruiser-1 driver: "ry, ry jy gaan vas sit!"
Me;  " Kan ek help om julle uit te sleep?"
Landcruiser-2 driver with a look on his face that would scare a lion off its kill: "Ag f#%@!&**# hier!"

So  I put Alice in low range 1st and departed as instructed enjoying my ice cold beer as she happily ploughed through the sand.

When I visited Sossusvlei two years ago a friends Ford Ranger bakkie nearly came stuck while I sailed through with my fully laden Forester.  ;D
