Not sure where to put this but Steering is close to Suspension so here goes: In the morning as I reverse out of the garage and apply a lot of lock the steering wheel shudders/pulses (Feels a bit like a gaming steering wheel feedback). Thereafter it's fine for the rest of the day - anyone know what could cause this?

I've tried keeping the wheel on full lock to try and clear any air but it doesn't seem to be a problem and doesn't make the more normal leaking gasket noises.

First step: replace the O-Ring on the inlet hose at the power steering pump. This seems to solve many problems. Also, check the belt tension..

Thanks - O-ring was replaced recently. Will check the belt. Googling the problem did indicate that belt condition might be the source of the problem.

Had a similar issue on my SH after changing the power steering belt. Adjusting tension sorted it for a while but is now slightly noticeable again on cold start. Perhaps belt has stretched a tiny amount again?
