I checked the gearbox oil on my 2.5X MT today and it is on the Low level. Which transmission oil should I used to top op my fozzie's gearbox. I know it must be a GL 5 type oil but which is the best to use for our climate.

Hi,
Use 75W90....

Depending on what is in the box currently, will determine whether you top up with mineral or synthetic oil.

If you do a complete change, synthetic may be the one to go for, but there are too many opinions on this....

Speak to the oil reps, and then you decide.

Thanks, thats what I got. I topped it up with Castrol 75W90 synthetic oil. (Flippen expensive) and now the gear changes feels much smoother. It also go into R much easier. Cant believe what difference the 500ml I added made.
