I've been mailing Ashley Lazerus to get hold of the press XV, but to date I've had no luck.

I had one for 7500 km before leaving Subaru, and I loved it. It took about 4000km to loosen up and once I got used to the CVT box, I enjoyed that as well.

Consumption for me was in the mid to low 7/100.

There is very little that I didn't like about the car, apart from the damned boot which nobody can do anything about - it's still too shallow - and I really feel that SSA should offer the option of a space saver wheel in order to get a boot that runs somewhere near respectable.

Mine went on the beach without any hassles and a customer of mine had a ball in Mozambique where he outperformed a couple of heavyweights.

I only sold one manual and it sounds as if that car goes very well.

How about giving one to CAR magazine for long term test - I am so tired of their negative Subaru reports!

Thanks for the responses.
Hi Paul long time no chat, hope your new venture is going well.
We have given the CVT to CAR mag, it should be in next months issue.

There have been a lot of good reviews on the car so far, some negative but  very few. If you like I can post the article links on here for you guys to read.

To Steve, are these your websites?

And yes we will keep active on this forum.

If you guys have an questions about any Subaru's you can just ask and we will do our best to assist.

Hi,

Yes both websites are mine and I'm currently reviewing vehicles weekly for nearly all of the major brands.

Obviously some miscommunication from Ashley's part, but yes, I'm sure eventually ill be able to get a press XV fro him.

Enjoy the Forum, there are plenty of avid Subaru enthusiasts on here.

Since I would really would like you to test the car, are you available to test it from Friday 3rd August to Friday 10 August?

I see you are in Cape Town and we do have a CVT Media car out there.

Hi JPC

That is funny, must say from all the media cars I have noticed one thing.
The engine really feels alive after 5000Km before that it does feel a little sluggish. but now our media car are going great and we are only getting great reviews on the car.

Spot on about taking that time to loosen up. It was if the magic lightbulb went off in my car at 5000!! :D

Toyota is going well thanks - but boy do I miss not being able to get passionate about the car I'm selling!!  :(

I spoke to the mechanics about the 86 today and found myself getting all excited again. I think quite a few new Toyota 86 buyers will be coming in to buy Subaru badges!! :p

LOL before I read your comment on the 86 I was going to say "well there will be one car you can get excited about."

Yea the 86 is another topic all together, the people that have been following the car will know that it is actually a Subaru, Built & Engineered by Subaru and has the heart of a Subaru (the beautify flat 4 Boxer).

But as I said that's a whole other topic which I have truck loads of passion for.
And by the way the BRZ Looks and feels amazing!! It is everything they said it would be.
