As a "prize" for selling lots of cars this month, I have just been given the BRZ for the weekend. :D

Absolutely sublime to drive - ground clearance is actually very good and way, way better than my Alfa MiTo that scrapes its bumper coming into my garage.

Effortless cruising ability - I kept finding myself creeping up to 150 when I was on the freeway - she just wants to go, go, go! Consumption over 300km was 7.3 l/100, and that includes really hard driving - that "sound" in the cockpit is intoxicating.

Ride over Umkomaas's bumpy roads is excellent - not harsh at all - a much nicer driver's car than either the WRX or the STi, or the MiTo for that matter! :p

Would I buy one? In a heartbeat! :)

Lekker "little cars"

If you are over 6'2, its a little cramped in there :)

BRZ over 86 for exclusivity. So many 86's on the roads!

A very desirable car, my only concern is that we now have a Scooby which is'nt All-Wheel-Drive and we have a Toyota which sounds like a Scooby, what's next?

It doesn't concern  me at all  - "badge engineering" has been a fact of life since the days of BMC/ Leyland, and it never worried the final outcome.

A Wolseley, Austin, Riley and MG were all basically the same car, but they sold as individuals to their respective fans.

I doubt that this will be any different.

enjoy Paul. Good economy! Great getting into a vehicle that you want to drive. Wish I was there!

Nice - But I would still call that a 86 - somehow the Subaru badge has more appeal/exclusivity!

Why does your photo of the BRZ have a Toyota badge?

Because they are nearly identical.

Lots of fun though, LOTS!
