Remember, there's a difference between a Chinese product and a MADE in China product! Most manufacturers have factories in China, i.e. Cummins, Caterpillar and many electronics companies.

There's a guy on the Facebook group looking for spacers, does anyone know who still has these?

I must say that after changing my rears to standard non-turbo SH springs and dampers, the handling of my XT is up to scratch. I was told the KYB units were similar to the Subaru OEM units, but in capacity, not up to the job. The SLS units were super crap, but with the stiffer X springs, the rear seems a lot more planted and I could load a lot more, without the ass dragging and feeling like I had a caravan on the rear! The biggest mistake Subaru ever made, was fitting that crap to our cars!

What was the approximate cost for the rears, if you don't mind my asking.

Sorry for the late reply! I paid R2,260.70 for two shocks and R1,893.00 for the two standard rear springs. OEM warranty unknown, but I'm sure the SH XS and X guys don't change shocks too regularly?

Tick Tock...waiting for the darn thing to arrive! In the meantime a temporary fix as the one above has been made... Gauge just stuck inside with velcro, until the electronic version arrives...

I was shopping for wheels in Qatar last year and was told there's no longer an XT available. I almost beat the salesman down, right there and then! Turns out he was not talking rubbish!

Well, hold on to your old XT's they might just appreciate in value!

Sad, very sad indeed!

Lokale Fozzies net N/A, LHD! Ry maar 'n Pajero petrol en byt my onderlip as die bleddie ding nie wil wegkom nie! Ek werk die afgelpe 2 jaar hier as bestuurder by 'n equipment huur onderneming.

I need the same thing done, but in Kimberley (I know!) anyone????   ::)
Have you always been in Kimberley?

Sorry, I'm only replying now, I now live in Qatar and the vehicle is with my father in Kimberley. I grew up there, but have lived in Port Elizabeth for 20 odd years... Now it's the Sandpit!

Thanks LSS, I've looked at the site suggested, but these guys sell pretty serious kit, looks like mostly professional racing driver gear, etc. Also not scared to charge! I can get a fairly comprehensive OBDII connected meter from the US, for like $60 plus shipping, so perhaps I'll fit a temporary solution until this arrives...

So the OBDII still runs off the stock water temp sensor? Can you set alarms on it? Please post a link if you do order?

Yes, got one one-Bay for $35 that displays all the OBDII info on a LED screen! Plug and play unit... hope the link works!

Buy a Prosport water temp gauge and plumb it in.

https://www.performanceproducts.co.za/121-performance-series

The more expensive one has a warning light and beep as well.

On my TDL as well. Question however is where is best position to put the sensor.

Already have the oil pressure gauge, working a treat.

Easiest solution is installing something like an UltraGauge.

Thanks. Looks like a great idea, but I need something quicker than 6 weeks delivery from the US! I'll definitely order this also...

Electronics / SH heat gauge

Has anybody here ever built a heat gauge into an SH? I just had to have my engine overhauled, after a radiator cracked and I blew both head gaskets because when the red light to indicate overheating came on, it was too late!
