Thanks for all you opinions guys!! I really wish we could notification via email about replied to threads... or did I miss something in my settings?

Anyways, we're now July 2017, she was serviced again in March earlier this year, had to top up at least 1 pint in may, possibly 2, can't recall and another 2 pints today!  If other SJ drivers tell me they have the same issue, I'll accept that, but I'm trying to sell the foz and would hate to send her off with a problem for her new boss. I can't recall any other car I've had that needed so much oil without an active leak!

Also, which is the best oil to use?  I had rage misfortune of being 50km from home when I had to fill up and was left with no choice other than what engen had available, Petronas 15W40 - hope it's decent!!

I can't understand why Subaru SA keep stick of these things!!

Hey guys, best to sell her where you know she'll be loved!

So she's up for sale and here's the gumtree link....

https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-cars-bakkies/durban-north/subaru-forester-2013-2-0x/1001983183160910071608809

Price is negotiable of course and the current mileage is up to 86000km, last service was a little late and not at agents but at Romic.

Cheers

Since I've had my SJ (MY13) my oil consumption has been, in my opinion, unusually high. As I'm new to the brand I figured its perhaps a forester thing, but after my last service I decide to take note of just how much I put it. It was last serviced in May this year and since then i have put in 2 pints in July, 1 pint in September, 1 in October and 2 pints a day before Christmas.

To me, this is not normal, what do the more qualified/experienced guys say??

It is! just outta my reach though. Looking at a Ford Grand Tourneo Connect 1.6 Tdci (demo or a young used), took in the foz yesterday for evaluation, waiting to see what ford will offer.

Hi,

I've got a 2013 SJ 2.0X. Has 72 000km, FSH with dealers in Durbs, Added a towbar  but thats it. I had a ridiculous offer of R170 000 from webuycars.co.za!

any ideas what I could for it?  I'm expecting R 220 -230 000, don't really want to get rid of it but the family has grown so I need a bus.

Thanks Steve,

Image audio quoted me R2200 for the install, without the steering wheel module!  Holy crappers i nearly fell off my chair!  To me, its just not worth it. Will shop around for a few other quotes...

Hey Guys,

I have been given a TEAC TE-268. Does anyone know who would be the right people to get this installed by (in Durban), in place of the standard audio system? or who does Subaru Durban use for their audio problems? I want this done right and to be able to retain all steering wheel functionality.
