On the N1 this gangster mobile came up behind me in the fast lane, I got out of his way as I had to take the next offramp.
So did he... so we went through the tollgate and lined up at the next set of lights.
He was enjoying the sound of those side exhausts, as was I, blipping the throttle waiting for the light to go green...
Lights changed and I Hammered the throttle - pulled a good 3 cars on him from the line, and just kept opening the gap has the road disappeared beneath the Fozzies tyres.
Then something odd happened - I backed off for the next up coming light, and this taxi that was on my left at the previous light comes barreling past me, flashing his hazards and his arm out the window.
Obviously he somehow thought he was a part of the little fun we had just had.

So after much deliberation, I've firmly decided that the S-Ed will not become a track car.
She is perfect just the way she is for daily commute, strong enough to play with most powerful cars on the roads, and still capable enough to tackle a dirt road or trail.

So I went shopping and had my eye out for the holy grail...

Hey guys,

This is specific to the JHB and surrounds owners, but if you are from further away and prepared to add shipping on to these prices, I'm sure a few members would be able to help out.

Cruiser has had a chat with TNT exhausts, and managed to get them to offer a deal on Dump Pipes/DownPipe.
We need to have a minimum of 6 pipes made up - each will be manufactured specifically for your car.

The Details:

Custom Pipe manufactured AND installed - R1800

Custom Pipe Manufactured ONLY - R1500

Please vote above so we can get this ball rolling. 8)

I have to start with one statement - I love this track!

I got three sessions in, first session had dry and wet patches; Second session was very wet (fun on the semis); and third was a nice dry track.

Here are some pictures for the day courtesy of the organizers, and a clip from my DashCam.  8) 8)

Hey Guys,

The guys that fitted my exhaust on my 'Alp have recently started a Carbon Fiber shop.

Ive had my eye on the developments of the PROVA bulge, but it has been discontinued, so Im having one made up.

Here is a quote from OzFoz.com of the Bulge -

Pictures: I'll be putting the PROVA Bulge on the Foz around 13th Jan when it gets back from repairs, but here's a few pics of it placed over the existing SH9 bonnet scoop off of the bonnet (the bonnet was in the tip!). As with most JDM, you get lots of instructions with pics thank fark. Also came with a cloth, strip of adhesive, and I've since discovered a solution to wipe onto the dry carbon finish once it's installed - this provides UV protection and a glossy finish for the carbon apparently.

[EDIT] Installed perfectly (with Clear Coat added) - Plenty more pics here

Nice neat looking carbon job too. It always blows me away how fine and light this stuff is

Looks to be a good fit on the scoop, will know better once adhesive gets applied.

Here's a few more pics with and without the PROVA Bulge - it's actually a fair bit bigger at the point where it picks up the air

The asking price is R1650.00 ea, but I can get a discounted rate if we do a group buy
So who is keen?

Trip Reports / Gauteng and Surrounds, Brekkie Run - Trip Report
« on: April 20, 2015, 09:07:43 AM »
Early on Sunday Morning, 5 Foresters and an X1 met up at the McDonalds in Woodmead.
It was a nice chilly morning, and plenty of Hot Chocolate and Coffee was had while we waited for every one to arrive.

We headed out along the Old Hennops River Roads, towards Hartbeespoort Dam - along the way collecting another Foz.

With a few loud revs though the tunnel found us on the northern side of the Magaliesberg Mountains.

We stopped off at the Wimpy for Breakfast and a coffee, with plenty of time on our hands.

With full bellies, and sharped minds (thanks to the coffee) we headed off to tackle the Breedts Nek Pass.

With the heavy rains experienced up on the reef, we were warned that the pass might be a bit more than we could chew - the People giving the advice obviously didn't know the capabilities of the Foresters...

With the pass behind us, the need for refreshment had called, and our final destination in close proximity, we headed off the Black Horse Brewery for lunch, and a few Cold Crafts.

Black Horse has great food and awesome Beer - we filled up a 16 seater table and talked rubbish for 3.5 hours and realized it was time to get on our way.

And so we bid farewell to the friends with who we had shared the day - New and Old.

Was a great day out Fozzying!

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at planning a Gauteng Fozzie Breakfast run - the venue will still need to be determined.

I just want to see who would be keen before we arrange and finalize everything.

Please vote above, and we will move forward from there.

Any ideas are also welcome, so please comment!

UPDATE

With just a week to go before the run, lets finalize a few details.

We will be meeting at the Woodmead McDonalds on Sunday the 19th at 06h30, and will depart at 07h00.From there, a round trip through to Harties, and along the north side of the Magalies, taking the Breedts Nek Pass in a North to South Direction, we will stop at Black Horse after the pass for lunch and a drink or two.

The total trip should be around 170km, so please ensure to have enough fuel.

Please also confirm your attendance, so a booking can be made at Black Horse.

Looking forward to the run!!

Introduction / How to add images to your forum posts
« on: March 26, 2015, 10:24:27 AM »
There are a couple of different ways you can insert an image to display within a post you make. One way is to have the forum host the image via the attachment system, or by linking to an image that you have hosted elsewhere.

I will show how to link an image from a 3rd party hosting provider, from services like Photobucket, imgur, ImageShack, etc.

To link directly to an image hosted elsewhere, you'll first need to get the direct URL to the image you want to embed within your post. Direct URL's will end with the file format of the image, such as .jpg, .png, .gif, etc. Often times you can locate the direct URL of an image from the share options when viewing the image on the hosting service. An example of a direct image URL would be something like: http://foresterforum.co.za/Themes/Aqua/images/theme/logo.png
Alternatively you can right click on the image, and select the "Copy image URL" text.

Once you have the direct URL of an image you would like to insert into a post, click the Reply button to an existing thread on the forum, or create a new thread to bring up the posting page. On the posting page click on the image button found in the toolbar directly above the message area . Once clicked, an Image URL Alt Text will appear [ url] at your cursor position in the body of the posting page text window. Paste in the direct URL for the image you want to share by pressing CTRL+V within your post between the Alt Text. The text you enter in the Alt Text field is what will display in your post any time the image itself is unable to load, either because the visitor has images disabled in their web browser or if your image hosting provider is having technical issues and is unable to load the image or the image has been deleted from the hosting service.

Once you have the Image URL and Alt Text filled out, click the Preview button to check that your image has linked correctly. Once your post is made, the image will display directly in your message, as you see it in the preview.

The same procedure can be used for Youtube Videos, but by simply pasting the video youtube url between the Alt Text [ youtube]

Race Tales / Alfa Giulietta
« on: March 02, 2015, 07:34:47 AM »
Was At my Brother-In-Laws wedding this weekend, one of the other best men organised a Giulietta for the weekend from one of his suppliers.
His daily drive was the Orange accented Twingo pic I posted on the PlastiDip Thread.

So jumping into a 1.4T little hatch must have been fun, hence his belief that it would be a match for the Chettworked S-Edition.

As we were leaving the venue on Sunday morning we had a little spirited drive - as far as traffic would allow.

The Alfa obviously has a slightly better pull away than my 5sp Auto box, but at the end of first gear I'm sitting with a two car gap, Shift into 2nd, and quickly into 3rd, on and off the power just playing with him... giving him hope and taking it away again ;D ;D

Now where are those 1.8T's - I need a proper Italian challange. 8)

He gave it beans while I was behind him.
